Drake discusses obtaining and sending a copy of "A discourse on Northern lakes and Southern invalids"; expecting to attend the Baltimore convention; planning to spend time in Philadelphia overseeing the printing of his book; visiting Meigs; and leaving for a tour of the Allegheny Mountains and the St. Lawrence.
